The Bar Plan in St. Louis, MO provides solo, small and mid-sized firms with lawyers' professional liability insurance, business coverage, risk management, award-winning CLE and other essential insurance products and management services. The Bar Plan was born out of a crisis in the lawyers' professional liability (LPL) insurance market. When other carriers left the market, The Missouri Bar realized that Missouri attorneys would be in dire need of a stable, financially secure source for LPL insurance.
Stepping up to fill the void, The Bar Plan was created and now proudly also serves Indiana, Kansas, New Mexico, and Tennessee.
Serves as the initial point of contact and direction at The Bar Plan for third parties by physically greeting and/or operating a multiline telephone system.
Provides general company support by performing various clerical and organizational duties as assigned.
Please note, this is a fully on-site position.
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Retrieve voicemail messages and forward them to the appropriate personnel.
- Answer general questions about the organization and provide callers with the company address, directions, and other relevant information.
- Greet visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner; determine the nature of their visit and notify the appropriate personnel.
- Manage office supply inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Process daily incoming mail, including opening, date-stamping, sorting, scanning, and routing hard-copy mail to the appropriate departments.
- Take outgoing mail to the post office after work, as needed.
- Receive company deliveries and notify the appropriate parties.
- Prepare daily UPS letters and packages and generate UPS reports.
- Maintain the postage machine, including monitoring postage funds and ink supplies.
- Assist remote colleagues with miscellaneous administrative tasks, such as preparing documents, packages, and other materials for mailing.
- Provide assistance as needed to support other department functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
