HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
The Sales Manager will oversee sales activities within the CK servicing area (Central MO to Central IL). This individual is responsible for sales and profitability, including managing the sales force performance, pricing, contract administration, budget expenditure, and training within the guidelines of the company.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage CK Account Managers in a manner that generates sales and growth in an assigned geographic area

• Lead team activities to most profitable business growth focused on value added solutions partnering with customers that demand technical expertise and superior service

• Increase volume and profitability of the territories through data driven analysis of cost to service

• Collaborate and maintain internal relationships between departments including finance, customer service and operations

• Motivate and achieve results with the team based upon company's target market and objectives

• Comfortable operating within a 6-to-12-month sales cycle for a local, independent, family and employee-owned business

• Build and maintain long term relationships with account base that values superior service

• Drive growth through prospecting and joint calls with the Account Managers

• Maintain and service key account responsibility

• Think long term in Protecting the Core service geography by negotiating service agreements on new and existing business

• Oversee the timely completion of required department activities including but not limited to call reports, value documentation, expense reports, KPI's scorecard metrics and all required training

• Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors

• Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words

• Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

• College graduate or equivalent. At least 10 years successful experience in sales, and at least 5 years supervisory experience

• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

• Must be self-directed and a self-starter who excels in knowing what must be done and executing it ensure it is done

• Excel in identifying new areas of opportunities

• Possess a professional demeanor that is demonstrated in a high standard of ethical conduct

• Must appropriately devote attention to all areas of responsibility and manage priorities effectively

• Ability to think strategically

• Excellent project management skills to plan, organize and complete projects in a reliable timeline

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to interact with staff at all levels

• Ability to travel to all Branch locations

• Ability to work varied hours

• Proficiency in MS office products
