Location: St. Louis

ACS Holdings, a trusted provider of commercial and industrial air quality solutions for over 40 years, is seeking a proactive and technically fluent Product Portfolio Manager for industrial equipment to join our Marketing team. This role will develop and execute product strategies, oversee in-market performance, and support commercial success by focusing on product positioning, go-to-market strategy, and lifecycle performance for ACS’s portfolio of distributed, assembled, and service solutions.

The Product Portfolio Manager will be responsible for product strategy, roadmap, pricing, portfolio optimization, go-to-market execution, and cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Services. This is a critical role in shaping how our products are perceived and purchased across digital and traditional channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy, Positioning & In-Market Execution
  • Maintain and optimize the portfolios for engine exhaust, welding fumes, and commercial air cleaners to support revenue and profitability goals through product positioning, pricing strategy, and go-to-market execution across sales channels.
  • Analyze product performance metrics, including sales, margins, churn, market share, and customer feedback (CSAT, NPS, other).
  • Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities that inform product direction with a focus on creating differentiation.
  • Lead market segmentation analysis, size opportunities, and assess channel alignment.
  • Partner with sales to assess feedback and ensure marketing assets are aligned with customer and channel needs.
  • Coordinate the development of technical and promotional content, including product brochures, spec sheets, testing data, white papers, web content, and training materials.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Marketing Communications to ensure cohesive execution of product strategies and launches.
  • Serve as the marketing lead on competitive analysis, product testing, product certification, new product introductions, and product enhancements.
  • Develop and present business cases that include financial models, competitive benchmarking, customer needs assessments, and go-to-market plans.
  • Support sales enablement through the creation and delivery of training materials, sales guides, and product education resources.
  • Define product roadmaps that align with strategic business goals, customer demands, and technical feasibility.
  • Lead the New Product Introduction and Value Analysis / Value Engineering processes to ensure timely and market-relevant delivery of new products.
  • Drive lifecycle management initiatives, including product rationalization, sun setting, and repositioning based on performance and market needs.
  • Lead product line reviews, develop future-state recommendations, and implement strategies to increase product relevance and revenue impact.
  • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product and project success.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5 plus years of experience in product management, product marketing, or technical marketing for equipment in a B2B industrial setting.
  • Proven success managing technical or mechanical B2B product portfolios.
  • Experience managing pricing strategies across multiple channels and end markets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
  • Experience in analyzing product performance data and developing actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business cases and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Experience with HVAC, air filtration, mechanical systems, or industrial safety products, or comparable experience.
  • Background in distributor or channel-based business models.
  • Knowledge of Hub Spot, Trello, or other modern marketing tech stacks.
