Product Manager
The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the development and performance of a product line from conception to delivery. This includes conducting market research, creating product specifications, collaborating with design and engineering teams, and analyzing sales data and profitability to ensure product success.
Responsibilities- Identify product opportunities and translate customer and market needs into product specifications to drive new product development program.
- Conduct market research and voice of the customer to identify customer needs and trend.
- Create and manage product development plans and product roadmap.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create and refine product prototype.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions about product improvement.
- Create and manage product marketing and branding strategy.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create pricing strategies and sales forecast.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify market trends and potential areas for growth.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product performance and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong understanding of product development processes and methodology.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Works to achieve operational, functional, and/or business targets within team with direct impact on departmental or job family results.
- Established professional; works under limited supervision.
- Works independently on moderately complex projects/assignments and contributes to setting objectives or goals of projects and assignments within the organization.
- Communicates with employees both within and outside of the department and/or job family on matters that require explanation, interpretation and/or advising; communicates with external clients or partners.
- Influences employees within the department at an operational level regarding concepts or practices and some advisement on approach.
- Responsible for moderate improvements of processes, procedures, or systems to contribute to the performance of the team.
- Problems faced are difficult and mildly complex and typically impact the job family and/or multiple teams.
- Provides assistance and training to other employees.
- May lead significant parts of moderately complex projects or processes.
- Prior electric motor and/or variable speed drive experience preferred.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
