Overview
Senior Product Manager - Golf Technology Product | Full-Time
The Senior Product Manager will own the software product strategy and execution for a leading golf technology platform. This role is responsible for understanding the market, defining product roadmaps, validating customer problems, partnering closely with Engineering and Commercial teams, and delivering products that create measurable customer and business outcomes. The role requires a strong product leader who can balance customer needs, technical constraints, and commercial priorities with ownership and autonomy.
Responsibilities- Own the product roadmap for golf technology software products, aligning priorities with customer needs, business objectives, adoption, retention, and revenue goals.
- Act as the primary connection between customers, commercial teams, and engineering teams by translating market insights into clear product direction.
- Conduct customer discovery, competitive research, and market analysis to identify opportunities and define product priorities.
- Transform customer feedback and business insights into clearly defined product requirements rather than feature requests.
- Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts using modern AI-assisted development tools to quickly validate ideas and communicate product direction.
- Leverage AI throughout the product lifecycle to improve research, analysis, documentation, requirements gathering, and product communication.
- Create detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and partner with Engineering teams to deliver products from concept through launch.
- Manage product backlogs and prioritize development work while balancing customer value, business objectives, and technical limitations.
- Define and track product success metrics including adoption, engagement, retention, and commercial impact.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis within the golf technology and sports technology ecosystem.
- Partner with Marketing and Business leaders to execute successful product launches and drive continuous improvement after release.
- Golf Industry
Experience:
Demonstrated passion for golf through active participation, professional involvement, or deep industry knowledge. Strong understanding of the golf technology ecosystem, including launch monitors, simulators, performance analytics, and digital golf platforms. Knowledge of key players and trends within golf technology. Established credibility or relationships within the golf ecosystem, including coaches, instructors, facilities, retailers, technology partners, or related stakeholders. Strong understanding of the golfer, coach, and facility customer journey. - Product Management
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred but not required. 5+ years of Product Management experience within B2B or B2B2C software environments. 2+ years operating at a Senior Product Manager or Product Lead level. Proven ability to define product strategy based on customer insights, market research, and business data. - Additional
Experience:
Experience translating customer problems into clear product requirements for Engineering teams. Strong experience writing PRDs, managing product backlogs, prioritizing sprint work, and launching software products. Ability to balance competing priorities between Commercial and Engineering stakeholders. Experience partnering with globally distributed Engineering teams. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with executives, customers, commercial teams, and technical stakeholders. Comfortable operating as the primary Product Manager responsible for a product line.
Experience leveraging AI tools to improve product management processes and outcomes. Leadership experience mentoring or managing other Product Managers is highly preferred.
