POSITION INTRODUCTION

Would you like to be part of a company that is employee owned? We invite you to consider joining CIC Construction. As our Quality Systems Manager, you will develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) that drives process compliance, standardization, and continuous improvement across our industrial construction and manufacturing operations. This role directly strengthens safety, quality, and operational excellence-reducing risk, improving efficiency, and reinforcing accountability company-wide.

ABOUT

CIC CONSTRUCTION

CIC Construction is the employee-owned construction company within CIC Group, bringing together the expertise and capabilities of NOOTER and WYATT to serve industrial customers across North America. Through our operating companies, we provide heavy mechanical construction, process electrical construction, maintenance, turnarounds, capital projects, fabrication, structural steel, rigging, material handling systems, and related industrial construction services. Built on a foundation of safety, quality, and operational excellence, CIC Construction is committed to delivering exceptional results for our customers while creating opportunities for our employee-owners to grow and succeed.

DAY

IN THE LIFE

A typical day as Quality Systems Manager blends hands-on process work with cross-functional leadership. You begin by reviewing quality performance metrics and internal audit findings, then partner with department leaders, project teams, and field operations to document, standardize, and improve business processes. Throughout the day you manage document control for policies, procedures, forms, templates, and work instructions; conduct internal audits; and lead corrective and preventive action efforts, including root cause analysis for nonconformances that impact the CIC Management System.

You collaborate closely with leadership, engineering, construction, and manufacturing teams-and periodically with external auditors and vendors-making decisions that keep the organization aligned with ISO 9001 principles and industry best practices. By delivering training, driving process governance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives, you help ensure every project is executed safely, consistently, and on schedule, contributing directly to project delivery and overall business success.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in construction, industrial services, engineering, manufacturing, specialty contracting, or a related project-based environment.
  • Demonstrated success implementing and managing a Quality Management System (QMS), including internal auditing, document control, corrective and preventive action management, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, process maps, forms, templates, and other controlled documentation.
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives, driving organizational compliance, and supporting multi-location operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 standards, auditing, process improvement, process mapping, and document control practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to evaluate performance data and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated core competencies: accountability and ownership, collaboration and teamwork, culture and safety, influential leadership and business acumen, and talent development and coaching.
