Operator Superintendent - St. Louis

• 3 years of experience in an Assistant Superintendent, supervisory, or high‑level leadership role working in heavy industrial or civil construction with in‑depth knowledge of processes, materials, and equipment, especially in wet infrastructure and utilities.
• 5 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment and performing excavation and earthmoving work.
• Demonstrated proficiency in GPS knowledge, including machine control and layout.
• All candidates must either be current members of a local union or be willing to join one upon hire.
• Must be currently living in the Greater St. Louis area.
• The ideal candidate has experience in a leadership role.

• Oversee and manage day‑to‑day on‑site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget.
• Ensure all company protocols and excavation regulations are followed.
• Operate equipment proficiently in a safe and efficient manner, while producing high‑quality work and meeting production goals.
• Enforce safety and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate and build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Keep all parties updated on project progress and concerns.
• Manage equipment needs, repairs, and maintenance.
• Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored when not in use.
• Resolve any on‑site issues promptly, making decisions that align with project objectives and company policies.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and any relevant documentation.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues, manage quality control, and ensure work is progressing as planned.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and change orders.
• Manage the on‑site company workforce to ensure proper training, compliance with company policies and procedures, and give ongoing performance feedback.

The starting compensation range is $90,000 to $130,000. Starting pay is commensurate with experience.
