Laborer, Construction, Construction Labor ​/ Trades

Oakline Construction Group has a current opening for a Construction Laborer. Based in St. Louis, MO and in business for over forty years, Oakline Construction Group specializes in the office, hospitality, and boutique industrial construction sectors. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of commercial construction and experience with managing multiple projects concurrently.

• Operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
• Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials.
• Assist other craft workers.
• Tend pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment or to heat or move materials, such as asphalt.
• Lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or tools.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
• Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
• Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to regularly lift items up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.

• 3+ years’ practical experience required.
• Ability to be self-sufficient and self-directed.
• Well organized and follow through on all job responsibilities.
• Superior interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Outstanding record of dependability.
• Discernment for safety.
• Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
