Job Summary

The Project Safety Specialist supports the implementation and execution of PARIC’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs on active construction projects. This role partners with project teams, superintendents, and trade partners to help foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with PARIC safety policies and OSHA regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their safety or construction career who is eager to learn, build relationships in the field, and grow within a high-performing project environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of PARIC’s HSE Management System to meet project-specific needs
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and supporting Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), including review of trade partner safety plans
  • Participate in and support Pre-Task Planning (PTP) meetings with PARIC teams and trade partners
  • Assist with lift plan reviews and other project-specific safety plans
  • Build working knowledge of construction sequencing and building processes to better identify and mitigate safety risks
  • Communicate PARIC safety policies and expectations clearly to project teams, trade partners, and craft professionals
  • Support project teams in maintaining compliance with PARIC safety policies and OSHA requirements
  • Establish consistent communication with supervision and craft regarding project safety culture, observations, and performance
  • Assist supervision and employees with planning work activities, focusing on hazard identification and risk mitigation
  • Utilize PARIC audit and assessment tools to identify safety hazards and track corrective actions to completion
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support overall project safety goals
  • Model and apply PARIC’s Core Values in daily project execution
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field OR equivalent job experience
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification required
  • 0–3 years of experience in construction safety, field operations, or a related role
  • Strong desire to learn construction processes and safety best practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from craft professionals to project leadership
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to follow through on action items
