Contegra Construction is hiring an experienced Construction Project Superintendent to lead field operations on large, complex construction projects.
This role is ideal for a Superintendent who knows how to run a jobsite, lead subcontractors, manage schedules, enforce safety standards, and deliver quality work from start to finish. You will serve as the primary field leader and work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, owners, design consultants, inspectors, subcontractors, and field personnel to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel.
- Manage short-term schedules, daily plans, and weekly work activities.
- Monitor jobsite progress and take action to keep work on schedule.
- Lead safety efforts, toolbox talks, jobsite inspections, and safety documentation.
- Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, contract requirements, and company quality standards.
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, material staging, and equipment coordination.
- Conduct project walks to review productivity, quality, and safety compliance.
- Resolve field conflicts and communicate with project stakeholders.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, punch list, and turnover activities.
- Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field personnel.
- 7+ years of progressive construction field experience.
- 3+ years as a Lead Superintendent, Superintendent, or similar field leadership role.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or similar projects.
- Design-build experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, field operations, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and work activities at the same time.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

This role is primarily project site-based. Candidates should be comfortable working in active construction environments, walking jobsites regularly, and working extended hours or weekends when project needs require it.
