Location: St. Louis

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated VDC Manager to lead Virtual Design & Construction initiatives for commercial construction projects throughout the St. Louis region. This role will be responsible for driving BIM coordination, clash detection, model management, construction technology implementation, and collaboration among project stakeholders to improve project planning, execution, and delivery.

The ideal candidate combines strong construction knowledge with advanced BIM and VDC expertise and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead VDC and BIM execution across multiple construction projects.
  • Develop and implement project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
  • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary models from architects, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and oversee clash detection using Navisworks and related software.
  • Support project teams with 3D modeling, 4D scheduling, and construction sequencing.
  • Create and maintain accurate federated models throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and field teams to improve constructability and project outcomes.
  • Implement and support emerging construction technologies, including reality capture, laser scanning, drones, and digital field solutions.
  • Train project teams on BIM/VDC processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company BIM standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in BIM, VDC, or construction technology roles.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
  • Proficiency with:
  • Autodesk Revit
  • Navisworks Manage
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • BIM 360
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience leading model coordination and clash resolution processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with 4D scheduling and construction simulation.
  • Knowledge of laser scanning and reality capture workflows.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D, Recap, Synchro, Dynamo, or related technologies.
  • Experience managing VDC initiatives across multiple projects simultaneously.
