Metric Geo is partnered with a leading heavy civil contractor in the St. Louis market seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their growing team.

This is an opportunity for a proven civil construction professional with a strong background in earthwork, grading, excavation, and site development to take ownership of complex projects and play a key role in continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and profitability
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Partner with superintendents to ensure safe, efficient project execution
• Identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects
• Strong background in earthwork, mass grading, excavation, and site development
• Experience managing commercial, industrial, municipal, or large-scale civil projects
• Proven ability to manage projects valued at $5M+
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, plans, and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Background

• Experience with large-scale grading, site preparation, and underground utilities
• Local St. Louis market experience preferred
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
