OverviewWe are seeking an entry level project engineer to join our team of water and wastewater construction management professionals based out of our St. Louis, Missouri office. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career and to learn how the engineering and construction industry works through hands‑on experience in construction project management, inspection, and program management for industrial and public utility projects.
This position reports directly to the Construction Management Group Leader and is based in our St. Louis, Missouri office. In this role, your primary responsibility will be serving as a resident project engineer or inspector for our local Water clients. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing construction plans for quantity takeoffs
- Field investigation in support of construction project development
- Coordinating with city agencies, contractors, and third parties in the preparation of construction assignments
- Supporting the construction team to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved specifications and client quality standards
- Preparing meeting agendas and meeting minutes
- Performing warranty inspections for completed projects
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative, team‑oriented perspective
- Attention to detail and disciplined time‑management skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and to react to change in a fast‑paced environment
- Frequent physical activity and the ability to travel to and between construction site locations

The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $85,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
