Utility Foreman
- St. Louis, MO

Metric Geo is partnering with a leading heavy civil contractor in the St. Louis area to recruit an experienced Utility Foreman. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing underground utility crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise utility crews installing water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems.
  • Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, utility profiles, and grade stakes.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Operate and oversee heavy equipment as required to support field operations.
  • Communicate daily with Superintendents and Project Managers regarding progress, production, and project needs.
  • Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining productivity and quality.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Train and mentor crew members to support their development and performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in underground utility construction, with previous foreman or crew leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and wet utility installation.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, grade stakes, and utility plans.
  • Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
