Position OverviewThe company is seeking a First-Year Project Manager who is ready to take the next step in their construction career and begin leading commercial projects of their own
.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has built a strong foundation as a Senior Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager and is ready for increased responsibility, project ownership, and direct exposure to clients.
Rather than remaining in a support role, you'll have the opportunity to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout
, managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, documentation, and client communication.
You'll have the autonomy to grow as a Project Manager while still having the support and mentorship of experienced leadership when needed.

- Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage day-to-day project coordination, scheduling, and execution
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, Superintendents, and project stakeholders
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation
- Assist with and take ownership of procurement and subcontractor buyout
- Track project budgets, costs, change orders, and financial performance
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Participate in and lead owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings
- Communicate directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate closely with field teams to maintain schedule and quality
- Support safety compliance, quality control, and project closeout
- Help ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 4–6 years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor
- Experience as a Senior Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or early-career Project Manager
- Experience supporting or managing ground-up and/or renovation commercial projects
- Understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, procurement, and project financials
- Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is a plus
- Ready to transition from supporting projects to taking ownership and leading them
