The Senior Photo Wardrobe Stylist plays a vital role in shaping the look and feel of the brand’s imagery. From concept to camera, this role brings products to life through expert styling, creative collaboration, and thoughtful leadership on set. The stylist leads off-figure, survey, and on-figure styling across editorial and selling shoots, ensuring every garment, accessory, and mood reflects the brand’s aesthetic and storytelling vision.
Working closely with the Fashion Director and broader Creative Team, this position influences everything from hair and makeup direction to campaign execution – driving visual consistency and elevating every photo shoot that defines the brand’s identity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Creative, Merchandising, and Design teams to plan and execute product and editorial photo shoots for print and digital marketing.
- Develop and maintain seasonal styling and hair/makeup direction boards aligned with brand vision and target customer age-look.
- Oversee styling for dual sets, off-figure, and survey shoots, ensuring cohesive, on-brand execution across all photo productions.
- Direct on-set hair and makeup to ensure consistency with the intended Genre, Mood, and Age-Look of each campaign.
- Manage the HAMU (Hair and Makeup) talent roster and annual budget exceeding $150K, maintaining quality and vendor accountability.
- Coordinate sample preparation and organization through Shot Flow, ensuring all garments are styled, accessorized, and photo-ready.
- Collaborate with Art Directors to highlight key product details and ensure each shot meets merchandising and creative objectives.
- Provide post-shoot feedback to Design and Technical teams regarding fit, styling, and on-set observations.
- Support the model roster audit and seasonal casting process, contributing feedback on talent rotation, styling compatibility, and brand representation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 5 to 9 years of styling experience, ideally in a multi-channel retail environment with strong web and print integration.
- Proven experience within a direct marketing or eCommerce-driven business (B2B and/or B2C).
- Leadership experience overseeing on-set or back-of-house styling teams preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional aesthetic judgment with the ability to style across diverse genres, moods, and customer demographics.
- Strong understanding of apparel fit, accessorizing, and photography composition.
- Skilled in managing budgets, vendor relationships, and project timelines.
- Proficient in Shot Flow or similar production management tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Calm and confident under pressure, with the ability to think creatively and lead dynamically in a fast-paced environment.
- Dance experience or familiarity with performance apparel is a plus.
