Producer, Workers’ Theater Project

Bread & Roses Missouri seeks a collaborative, organized, and values-driven Producer to coordinate the administrative, logistical, and production needs of the Workers’ Theater Project.

The Workers’ Theater Project (WTP) is a community-based theater initiative that amplifies and elevates the voices and experiences of working people through original performance, storytelling, and popular education.

• The annual Workers’ Opera
• The Workers’ Choir
• Original plays exploring the history of the labor movement and the lives and experiences of working-class people
• Creative workshops for working adults

The Producer ensures that artists, worker participants, community partners, and volunteers have the support they need to bring projects from concept through public presentation. Working closely with the Executive Artistic Director, the Producer will coordinate multiple projects and help create a welcoming, organized, and collaborative production environment.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized project manager, an excellent communicator, and a skilled community-builder committed to worker justice, racial equity, and collaborative creative practice.
