Mobile Dental Assistant

This position involves visiting long-term care facilities and assisting physicians with dental care. Key responsibilities include maintaining electronic medical records, caring for dental equipment, and supporting patient care. The role requires travel up to 100%, good communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a healthcare setting.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist dentists with patient care promptly and courteously.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and dental charts electronically.
• Ensure documentation integrity and update patient odontograms.
• Pass instruments and supplies efficiently during procedures.
• Maintain the treatment area and dental equipment, including cleaning and troubleshooting.
• Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling and reporting.
• Post dental charges accurately and timely.
• Assist with digital radiographs and patient education on oral hygiene.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the service area and maintain dental supplies inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance on dental equipment and vehicle care.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and PHI guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred experience as a Medical/Dental Assistant.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
• Completed and passed TB skin test;
  Hepatitis B vaccination preferred.
• State radiation license or certification.
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills.

Physical Demands:

Requires full body motion, manual dexterity, standing, walking, lifting (50+ pounds), and working under stressful conditions. Must be able to push patients in a wheelchair and have normal vision and hearing.
