** Key Responsibilities
*** Assist dentists and hygienists during chairside procedures in a general dental practice setting
* Prepare treatment rooms by setting up instruments, materials, and equipment
* Provide compassionate, clear communication and support to patients throughout their visit
* Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments, equipment, and clinical areas
* Accurately document patient information and treatment notes in accordance with policy
* Maintain inventory by ordering, stocking, and tracking supplies
* Identify and communicate patient medical or social concerns to the dental team
* Follow standards and guidelines set by the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Board, and National Network of Oral Health Access
* Perform other duties as needed to support smooth clinic operations###
** Education, Experience & Credentials
*** High school diploma preferred, but not required
* Current CPR certification required
* BLS certification required (may be obtained after hire)
* Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but not required###
** Additional Qualifications
*** Willingness to learn, strong communication skills, and ability to follow instructions accurately
* Ability to support patients, maintain charts and reports, and complete all required training
* Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, current auto insurance, and successful completion of all required background checks
* Proof of being free from infectious or contagious diseases (e.g., TB) prior to hire and annually thereafter###
** Physical Requirements
*** Ability to perform sedentary work, including exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally
* Frequent repetitive use of hands, fingers, and arms for assisting and documentation
* Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional standing and walking as needed
