About the Company

Tiello has partnered with one of the nation’s most respected multifamily developers and builders to identify an Architect to join their growing St. Louis team.

Unlike a traditional architecture firm, this company serves as the developer, owner, designer, builder, and long-term operator of its own hospitality portfolio.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an architect looking to work on projects from concept through construction while collaborating directly with development, engineering, and construction professionals. Rather than handing projects off after design, you’ll remain involved throughout the entire project lifecycle and have the opportunity to see your work come to life.

Position Overview

The Architect will support the design and execution of hospitality projects from Schematic Design (SD) through Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), and construction administration.

Working alongside a highly collaborative architecture team, this individual will coordinate with consultants, engineers, project managers, and construction teams to deliver high-quality projects while maintaining design intent, budget, schedule, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 6–12 years of architectural experience, strong Revit proficiency, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment where construction and design work hand-in-hand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects through Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), and Construction Documents (CD)
  • Produce architectural drawings and documentation using Revit
  • Develop and coordinate 3D building models
  • Review and apply building codes throughout the design process
  • Maintain design quality and technical accuracy
Project Coordination
  • Coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants
  • Collaborate with construction teams throughout project execution
  • Participate in bi-weekly project meetings
  • Prepare meeting notes and project documentation using One Note
  • Participate in Lessons Learned meetings to improve future project delivery
Project Support
  • Assist with project coordination from design through construction
  • Work closely with senior architects and project leadership
  • Support project schedules, budgets, and design coordination
  • Maintain strong communication across internal and external project teams
Qualifications
  • 6–12 years of architectural experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required
  • Strong proficiency in Revit
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction documentation
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a collaborative mindset
  • Construction-minded approach with an interest in seeing projects through completion
Preferred Project Experience
  • Hospitality
  • Student Housing
  • Commercial Construction
  • Mixed-Use Developments

Candidates coming from architecture or engineering consulting firms are highly encouraged to apply.

Why This Opportunity?

This organization offers architects the unique opportunity to remain involved throughout the entire project lifecycle rather than only the design phase.

Employees enjoy:
  • Direct collaboration with construction, engineering, and development teams
  • Long-term project stability backed by a nationally recognized hospitality developer
  • A highly collaborative architecture team
  • Strong mentorship from experienced architects and leadership
  • The opportunity to travel to project sites aboard the company’s corporate aircraft
  • Exposure to every phase of development, design, and construction
  • Competitive compensation, bonuses, and exceptional benefits
  • A culture focused on long-term career growth and promoting from within

If you’re looking for an opportunity where your designs become reality and you can make a lasting impact on nationally recognized multifamily developments, this is a career worth exploring.
