Location: St. Louis
Planning Design Studio is seeking a Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect to join our talented team of individuals. We are a St. Louis-based design practice focused on improving the communities we work in by creating world-class outdoor places. Our studio space is located in Maplewood, Missouri, a historic suburb of St. Louis that is home to the nation’s first Green Dining District and vibrant independent shops that create an exciting and livable community.
We need people with a well-rounded grasp of the fundamentals of landscape architecture and a strong desire to be involved in projects that move from idea to reality. Technical knowledge and excellent organizational skills are important, as well as being a collaborator and someone who enjoys working in teams. This position is for full-time employment (40 hours per week).
For these positions, we are looking for an applicant who holds the following skills, knowledge, and qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited landscape architecture program
- 3-7 years of professional experience in landscape architecture preferred but not required
- Strong analytical, planning, design, and technical skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), and Sketch Up
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary
- Initiative-taker who enjoys a stimulating work environment and can contribute to achieving successful project completion
- Four weeks of combined PTO (Vacation / Wellness)
