Facility:
This facility is a well-established hospital in South St. Louis with a busy Emergency Department handling approximately 58,000 patient visits per year. The 60-bed emergency department includes a fast track lane and benefits from comprehensive support services. The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center with modern resources including scribes to assist physicians.

Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• 21-34 shifts per month through August 2026
• Various shift times available throughout the day (6a-3p, 7a-4p, 9a-5p, 2p-11p, 3p-11p, 5p-2a, 10p-7a, 11p-7a, 9a-6p, 5p-1a)
• Manage 15-20 patient encounters per shift
• Perform laceration repair, I&D, intubation, central lines, and chest tubes
• Utilize point of care ultrasound and ultrasound guided IVs
• Must be Emergency Medicine board certified
• Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS
• Work alongside APPs who are currently scheduled 9a-9p
• Benefit from scribe support to enhance efficiency
• Full 24-hour availability of support services including anesthesia, cardio-thoracic surgery, catheterization lab, general surgery, laboratory, neuro-surgery, orthopedic surgery, radiology, and vascular surgery
• Must be licensed in Missouri (60-90 day credentialing timeframe)
• No newborn deliveries in the ED (L&D department available at facility)

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
