POSITION TITLE
: PSYCHIATRIST PHYSICIAN

REPORTS TO
: DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL SERVICES

: EXEMPT

The Psychiatrist Physician diagnoses and treats diseases and injuries of the human mind across patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides clinical care, including but not limited to acute and chronic mental medical and health maintenance care of patients; provides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis.
• Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program and assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan especially in internal medicine protocols.
• Practices evidence-based medicine and Patient-Centered medicine.
• Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) for clinical documentation, ordering and reviewing labs and radiology, and clearing all tasks in a timely manner per organizational policies.
• Maintains the required Medical Licenses, Certifications, and Credentials that are required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• MD or DO from an accredited university.
• Completed ACGME Accredited Residency Training in Psychiatry.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified as a Psychiatrist Physician licensed to practice in the state of Missouri.

• Effective clinical and communication skills.
• Transportation Requirement:
  Must have reliable transportation.

Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 11 paid holidays per year, full benefits package, Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
