A recognized healthcare organization in Missouri is actively seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join one of its inpatient facilities in St. Louis County.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule:
Monday to Friday (1 weekend per month) - Hours:
8am to 4:30pm (8-hour days, 30-minute unpaid lunch) - Setting:
Inpatient Psychiatry
Responsibilities:
- Performing 24-hour evaluations
- Conducting psychological and psycho-educational testing
- Providing electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
- Evaluating psychiatric, behavioral, or addictive disorders
- Managing acute psychiatric conditions
Qualifications:
- Must have relevant experience in an Acute Psychiatric Unit
- M.D./D.O. degree with Psychiatry residency
- BLS Certified
- Missouri or IMLC Medical License
- EPIC EMR proficiency
- Knowledge of pharmacotherapy and other treatment techniques
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
Desired Skills:
- Experience with ECT treatment
- Mental Health specialization
- Proficiency in Spanish or another relevant language
