Overview
Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children (MNFC) is a nonprofit organization based in Saint Louis, MO, working in partnership with a local NGO in Kathmandu, Nepal. MNFC provides education, healthcare, and support services for underprivileged children in Nepal and supports 149 children in the Kathmandu Valley through two early childhood centers and a child sponsorship program. MNFC conducts cultural trips for donors and collaborates with its NGO partner.

- Supports the Communications/Development Manager, assists in creating content for digital marketing platforms, and helps with fundraising events in St. Louis, MO, and Seattle, WA.
- Maintains the annual communications calendar and assists with mass mailings.
- Creates blogs, social media content, and mass emails aligned with the organizational image and voice to maintain donor relations.
- Assists with other projects related to digital media assets, marketing, and communications materials.
- Assists with fundraising events and with maintaining inventory for the annual Holiday Bazaar.
- Maintains and updates the website.
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in digital marketing, web design, communications, or related field.
- One year of experience in digital marketing and social media.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SEO.
- Intermediate experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, and You Tube) focusing on audience growth and analytics.
- Flexible hours with the ability to flex time as needed.
- Proficiency with Excel, Google Workspace, and donor databases.
To fulfill the responsibilities of this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Access to a personal vehicle; occasional transport of event materials and supplies may be required.
- Residence in the St. Louis Metro Area. This position is location-dependent and requires residency within the St. Louis metropolitan region to assist with in-person events, meetings, and inventory.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds (e.g., event supplies and printed materials).
- Remote workspace in home residence. The organization does not maintain a physical office; staff must have a dedicated remote workspace suitable for organizing and managing development tasks.
- Personal computer and printer access. Regular access to a personal computer, stable Wi-Fi, and a printer to complete tasks such as printing attendee lists and planning documents.
