Special Education Teacher, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional

The Middle School Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in a faith-centered learning environment that promotes the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students in grades 6–8. The teacher supports the mission of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church by modeling Christian values and fostering a respectful, engaging classroom culture.
Job Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective instruction aligned with school curriculum standards and diocesan guidelines
- Create a structured, positive classroom environment that supports student learning and appropriate behavior
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and classroom practices
- Assess student learning through assignments, projects, and assessments, and maintain accurate academic records
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate student progress with families
- Differentiate instruction to meet the learning needs of all students
- Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior and classroom routines
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student success and school initiatives
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and required school events
- Supervise students during assigned duties throughout the school day
- Maintain compliance with school policies, diocesan requirements, and professional standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required
- Valid teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification as required
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church
