Preferred Qualifications Role PurposeThe enrollment specialist provides program, admission, financial aid and scholarship information to prospective students, applicants, as well as both incoming and current students.
Responsibilities- Maintains ongoing communication with prospective and current students to mentor them through their admissions and financial aid processes. Communication includes phone calls, e-mails, text messaging and virtual and in person appointments.
- Acts as a primary admissions and financial aid representative by planning and attending recruitment events that include, but are not limited to, new student orientation, virtual events, career and college fairs, group tours, community meetings, and other recruitment opportunities. Additionally, assists with targeted diversity recruitment: military, women, ethnic, geographic, and other strategies that support GSON’s institutional and strategic enrollment plan.
- Provide financial aid counseling to prospective, incoming, and current students regarding all aspects of the financial aid process including eligibility requirements for federal, state, and institutional student aid programs, institutional scholarships, and other funding opportunities. Assists students and families with FAFSA and scholarship application completion.
- Monitors, organizes, and processes scholarship applications.
- Evaluates admission applications and transcripts using (SLATE) to maintain accurate data.
