Job Title: Full‑Time Middle School Science/Religion Teacher-6th Grade Focus

Location: St. Clement of Rome Catholic School – St. Louis, MO

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction in both science and religion aligned with school and Archdiocesan curriculum standards.
• Create a structured, respectful, and faith‑centered classroom environment that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, and spiritual growth.
• Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily lessons, discussions, and classroom culture.
• Design hands‑on labs, demonstrations, and project‑based learning experiences that support scientific understanding.
• Assess student progress using a variety of tools and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, grades, and student documentation.
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned duties.
• Collaborate with the middle school team on curriculum planning, interdisciplinary projects, and school initiatives.
• Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school wide events.
• Model Catholic values and contribute positively to the spiritual life of the school community.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Theology, or a related field required;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Missouri teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
• Experience teaching middle school students or working with adolescents.
• Strong understanding of science content, Catholic theology, and effective instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom‑management skills.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Must meet Archdiocesan compliance requirements, including Safe Environment training.

The ideal candidate demonstrates enthusiasm for both science and faith formation, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine desire to support students’ academic and spiritual development. This role requires professionalism, reliability, and a passion for guiding students as they explore the natural world and deepen their relationship with God. The Middle School Science/Religion Teacher is expected to uphold the values of St.
