Accounting - Adjunct Instructor

Position information

Missouri Baptist University is looking to hire a Adjunct Instructor - Accounting. The successful candidate will teach evening upper-division accounting courses once a week, in person, at the Hillsboro Regional Learning Center.

Summary

Prepare and teach courses as assigned in the field of study for which they are hired from a Biblical worldview to enhance student learning outcomes. Cultivate student's curiosity for the field of study and applications in career fields.

Essential

Job Duties

* Classroom preparation, instruction, & grading with constructive feedback (6 credit hours per eight weeks max.; or 2 15-week, 3 credit hour courses + 1 3 credit hour eight-week course per semester)

* Update textbook edition and or incorporate Online Education template and Quality Matters compliance in Canvas Master Course Template(s) and or section Canvas course(s) when instructed.

* Professional and Scholarly Productivity in degree field.

* College of Business Adjunct Faculty Professional Development, School adjunct faculty, and Spiritual Formation mentor meetings.

* Routine administrative reporting (Attendance, grades, gradebook, COBE forms, etc. submissions)

Minimum Requirements /Certifications/Licensure

Earned master's degree in the field of study with an undergraduate degree in the same or similar field of study.

Preferred Education/Experience

* Earned doctorate in the desired business field of study with a master's and undergraduate degree in the same or very similar field of study. All degrees conferred by an AACSB or ACBSP accredited institution.

* Teaching experience at the college level with competency in Canvas LMS

* Two or more years of teaching experience at the higher education level.

* Three or more years of mid-level or upper-level managerial experience.

* Active CPA license
