Job DescriptionThis position manages BSW field education.
Responsibilities- Advising students in preparation of their field placement
- Planning and facilitating practicum planning workshops
- Reviewing and approving student learning agreements
- Providing assistance with the development and implementation of field placement policies
- Conducting site visits to monitor student progress; providing assistance in the identification, recruitment, approval, and monitoring of field placement sites and field instructors
- Supervising practicum seminar instructors, overseeing seminar content, offering consultation to students and field instructors if placement issues arise and planning the annual practicum and career fair.
- This position has teaching and service responsibilities.
- MSW from an accredited social work program
- Five years of post-master’s social work experience
- Licensure as a clinical social worker and experience as a field instructor are preferred
- Candidates with prior teaching experience in higher education are preferred
