Job Summary
Bishop DuBourg High School, a co‑ed Catholic school committed to educating a diverse community and helping young people reach their full potential, is accepting applications for an Assistant Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. This full‑time, twelve‑month position supports the mission of our Catholic school by assisting the Principal in the management of the school, faculty, staff, and students, with a major emphasis on student life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership, in collaboration with the Principal and faculty, for all facets of student life and activities, fostering a positive and effective learning environment and school culture.
- Collaborate with Campus Ministry and Guidance to ensure comprehensive student support resources are available and effectively utilized.
- Work with the Principal to develop and implement policies and procedures for the school‑wide discipline system, ensuring alignment with the Student/Parent Handbook.
- Oversee student supervision, including creation of faculty supervision schedules for the school day and after‑school activities.
- Support and assist faculty with student behavior management.
- Develop initiatives, in partnership with the Principal and faculty, that nurture student leadership within the school community.
- Promote student participation in school activities by creating, supporting, and supervising Student Life programs, including clubs, the House System, non‑athletic extracurriculars, and special events such as prom and graduation.
- Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in education and/or educational leadership.
- Demonstrated success in teaching and leadership roles.
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, and faculty.
- Professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits.
- Ability to maintain a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students, and staff.
