St. Gerard Majella School is seeking a joyful, faith‑filled Catholic educator who feels called to serve our vibrant school community as a 1st Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an individual who brings both strong instructional skill and a genuine passion for forming young learners in mind, heart, and spirit.

The 1st Grade Teacher is responsible for creating a warm, structured, and engaging classroom environment where students can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively teach core subjects while integrating Catholic values into daily instruction.

• Teaching and planning lessons for Religion, Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Social‑Emotional Learning
• Creating a supportive, developmentally‑appropriate classroom culture
• Using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Assessing student progress and communicating with parents regularly
• Collaborating with fellow teachers and staff to support the school mission
• Modeling and cultivating a strong Catholic identity in the classroom
• Participating in school activities, faith experiences, and professional development

• Practicing Catholic who embraces and supports the mission of Catholic education
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom‑management skills
• Commitment to fostering both academic and spiritual growth in young learners
