The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality educational services to students with special needs in grades PreK–8. This role requires collaboration with general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver instruction and support to students with special needs in push-in/pull-out settings.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
- Address behavioral challenges and provide appropriate interventions.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Inclusion and pull-out support - Para support provided
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid Missouri teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations
- State Teacher Certification (Special Education preferred)
- Endorsement:
Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred - Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation) - Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
