Lead Toddler Teacher

Our Nestlé Purina Child Development Center location in downtown St. Louis is looking for multiple Lead Toddler teachers. As a Lead Toddler teacher, you will design lesson plans based on Project Construct in a play‑based curriculum, interact with children and families, implement family‑style dining, and promote a safe environment where children learn actively and happily. We seek a nurturing, experienced teacher who brings energy and creativity to work every day.

• Work with children in one‑on‑one and group settings through meaningful, hands‑on learning activities.
• Prepare and design weekly lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate and differentiated for all skill levels and interests.
• Design and execute math, literacy, and science learning activities that give students opportunities to communicate orally and in writing.
• Use daily mealtimes as a method to incorporate learning and social skills.
• Build schedules and routines for the students.
• Strategically plan the curriculum to target child‑development areas such as social, motor, and language skills.
• Proactively communicate expectations, assessment criteria, student progress, strengths, and opportunities to parents and students.
• Promote and model a positive and respectful learning environment that focuses on positive redirection.
• Build trust and bonds with children and families.
• Maintain a safe and healthy classroom by following all center health and safety guidelines and rules.
• Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following:
  • Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field
  • CDA certification
  • 2+ years of experience working in early childhood

Starting at $18 per hour.
