Mary Queen of Peace School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time 4th Grade Homeroom Teacher to join our faith-filled, collaborative school community. This teacher will provide daily instruction in Religion, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Math, using a designated curriculum to support student growth across all academic and spiritual areas.
The ideal candidate will create meaningful, engaging learning experiences that encourage collaboration, communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and positive relationship-building. This role requires a commitment to fostering a supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued, challenged, and inspired.
Responsibilities- Planning and delivering daily lessons in core 4th grade subject areas.
- Using established curriculum materials while incorporating creative, student-centered strategies.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress to guide instruction.
- Establishing a classroom culture rooted in respect, responsibility, and Catholic values.
- Communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborating with the school community to support student learning and well-being.
- Participating in professional development and contributing to the school’s mission.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education.
- Current and valid teaching certificate.
- Prior classroom teaching experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creative approach to instruction and classroom management.
- Growth mindset and passion for working with elementary learners.
- Completion of the Protecting God’s Children workshop (Archdiocese of St. Louis requirement).
