Job DescriptionTeacher Assistant
- Literacy (LTA) - Dressel Elementary
- Monday-Friday, 3.5 hours/day; 17.5 hours/week
- Part-time position, Schedule to follow student calendar
- Hourly Rate: $22.81
- Substitute Certification Required;
Missouri Teacher Certification Preferred - Non-exempt
- Benefits not included
Summary: Works with classroom teacher (typically grades K-2) and leads small group reading instruction to support student learning.
Position Type:
Part-Time
- Typically works with grades K-2, in classroom with small group reading instruction (comprehension, fluency, decoding, vocabulary)
- Communicate with classroom teachers frequently to share data and observations
- Plan and restock shelves with guided reading library books
- Intervention time to support students K-5 based on need
- Other duties as assigned
