Job Summary
The STEM Teacher is responsible for delivering an engaging, hands‑on curriculum in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics within a Catholic educational environment. This role integrates academic excellence with faith formation, helping students develop critical thinking skills while fostering an appreciation for the relationship between faith and reason.
Job Responsibilities- Plan and teach STEM lessons aligned with state standards and diocesan guidelines
- Design hands‑on, inquiry‑based learning experiences (experiments, coding, engineering challenges, robotics)
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into STEM instruction, emphasizing ethics, stewardship, and the dignity of human life
- Encourage problem‑solving, collaboration, and innovation
- Use technology effectively to enhance learning (e.g., educational software, coding platforms, digital tools)
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate STEM across the curriculum
- Maintain STEM lab equipment and ensure safe use of materials
- Participate in school liturgies, prayer, and faith‑based activities
- Communicate regularly with parents and school staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM field, or related area
- Teaching certification (preferred or required based on school/diocese)
- Experience in STEM instruction, coding, robotics, or project‑based learning preferred
- Practicing Catholic preferred; commitment to supporting the Catholic mission required
- Familiarity with integrating faith and science
