Position Overview
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking an enthusiastic adjunct faculty member to instruct in our introductory physics course sequences, namely the algebra-based College Physics I and College Physics II taught to pre‑medical, neuroscience and other health science majors; and/or the calculus‑based University Physics I and University Physics II taught to the STEM majors enrolled in degree programs managed by the School of Science and Engineering.
ResponsibilitiesThe work hours will have some flexibility but will be fixed from semester to semester. The position requires being on the Saint Louis University North campus in St. Louis, MO, at least 3 days per week. The time commitment consists of 3 hours per week of in‑classroom instruction, 2 hours per week of office hours, plus the time required to prepare lectures, homework and exams, as well as to grade assignments.
All classes will be held in person on the Saint Louis University Campus in St. Louis.
QualificationsMS or Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering or a related field.
