Developmental Mathematics Instructor

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Developmental Mathematics Instructor to join our esteemed institution. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to student success. As a key member of our team, the Developmental Mathematics Instructor will play a critical role in providing a solid foundation for our students in the subject of mathematics. Responsibilities

& Duties

Develop and deliver engaging and effective lectures and learning activities for Developmental Mathematics courses. Provide individual and small-group support to students who are struggling with the material. Evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback on their performance. Collaborate with other Mathematics faculty and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Engage in scholarly and professional activities that support the mission of our institution.

Maintain accurate records and data related to student learning outcomes and other relevant information. Stay current with the latest research, trends, and best practices in Developmental Mathematics teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills

Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field. Minimum requirements, Master's Degree and 18 graduate hours in Mathematics. Demonstrated experience teaching Developmental Mathematics at the post-secondary level or experience teaching high school mathematics courses. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching materials. Commitment to student success and a growth mindset.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience using technology such as, Canvas and online tools to support teaching and learning. A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
