Assistant Teacher
The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a joyful, rigorous, and safe learning environment for all students. Assistant Teachers play a vital role in ensuring classrooms run smoothly, students receive individualized support, and the broader school community functions effectively. This role includes supporting instruction during the school day, supervising students during non-instructional times, and assisting with intersession programming as needed.
Key Responsibilities- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working with children in a school or youth setting strongly preferred
- Sub certificate required

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations
Assistant Teachers are full-time, school-year employees. Typical hours are 7:45 a.m.
- 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional adjustments for school events, intersession programming, or coverage needs.
- Ability to actively supervise and engage with students throughout the school day
- Standing, walking, lifting classroom materials, and working indoors and outdoors as needed
- An energetic self-starter with a resourceful, solution-oriented mindset.
- Persistent, adaptable, and eager to continuously learn and grow.
- A creative thinker and collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
- Pass a background check and complete the Family Care Safety Registry.
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree or have substantial experience working with elementary students in a formal setting along with a substitute teaching certificate.
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
