Youth Ministry Associate
The Youth Ministry Associate is a 10‑hour per week part‑time position that will work closely with the Grant’s Trail Family Pastor. This role oversees many aspects of the youth ministry, including volunteers, occasional teaching as assigned, and the creation, implementation, and maintenance of teams for 6‑12th grade youth. The associate will build community, culture, and trust among volunteers and students and support the ministry’s mission to provide a safe environment for students of all spiritual backgrounds.
ESSENTIALJOB RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities – Grant’s Trail
- Work closely with Youth Crossing Leadership Development staff to recruit, train, and develop Middle School and High School volunteers.
- Lead student‑leader teams, including recruiting, training, and organizing team‑building activities.
- Communicate from the stage on Wednesdays regularly – announcements, games, and occasional teaching.
- Communicate with student and adult volunteer teams through weekly emails.
- Assist the Family Pastor with planning and executing events.
- Build meaningful Christ‑centered relationships with students.
- Assist with follow‑up for new and current students.
- Be proactive in troubleshooting and evaluating to expand ministry.
- Assist the Family Pastor with various responsibilities for Wednesday night services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
- Attend and assist with the planning of YC ‘One’ events and trips (Summer camp, Winter blast, mission experience, Summer Tour, etc.).
- Provide assistance to Youth Crossing events on a needed basis.

Skills and Abilities
- Basic administrative skills
- Proven experience exhibiting a passion for youth
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
MUST HAVES FOR ALL STAFF AT THE CROSSING- Attend a service at one of The Crossing campuses on a weekly basis.
- Passionate about growing their relationship with God.
- Baptized after making a thoughtful decision to follow Christ.
- Regard the Bible as God’s final authority in all areas of Christian life and desire to be wholly obedient to it.
- Wholeheartedly affirm The Crossing’s Statement of Faith, including our view on Baptism.
- Live a lifestyle consistent with scriptural principles.
