Part Time Youth Development Professional
The Youth Development Professional is responsible for the planning, implementation, and supervision of activities for assigned programs that achieve predetermined program outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education:
High school diploma required, Associates degree from accredited college or university or BA/BS preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience working with children in a group setting, management experience is a plus.

- Applies theories about how youth learn and develop in the domains of physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and creative to BGCSTL programming.
- Aligns mission and Formula for Impact with program implementation.
- Systematically links program activities to program goals to achieve predetermined outcomes for youth.
- Maintains environments that manage risk, ensures safety, promotes physical and mental well-being, and encourages healthy lifestyles.
- Develops supportive relationships with children and youth, works to guide and empower them as individuals as well as being part of a group. Builds a trusting relationship with children as a foundation for positive guidance and self-discipline.
- Actively participates in program planning, delivery, and evaluation of youth development programs. Plans and acquires appropriate equipment and materials for the program.
- Demonstrates high levels of ethical conduct through actions to BGCSTL youth, families, and surrounding communities.
- Professionals increase their knowledge through ongoing training and education. Youth Development Professional understands responsibilities as a mandated reporter.
