Location: St. Louis

Job Description

Position works with the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) and Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) in Chemistry to organize and administer programmatic components essential to the educational mission of the department.

Primary

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer programs for students.
  • Serve as liaison to deans' offices and other departments.
  • Interview and advise students.
  • Manage student records.
  • Coordinate and help implement curriculum changes.
  • Occasionally teach as needed.
  • Oversee course listings and schedules each semester.
  • Coordinate assessment of programs.
  • Submit reports as required.
  • Assign Teaching Assistants (TAs).
  • Assign graduate student office space.
  • Coordinate recruitment orientations and meetings.
  • Help supervise non-academic staff.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment
  • Ability to travel to various on- and off-campus locations

Physical Effort:

  • Typically sitting at a desk or a table

Salary Range

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 per year. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one’s qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
