Job Description

Assistant Facilitator
- Lindbergh Early Childhood Education

  • Part‑time position, approximately 20 hours per week
  • Schedule Monday‑Friday to follow the 26‑27 school year calendar
  • Beginning hourly rate: $15.09/hour
  • Non‑exempt
  • Benefits not included

Summary: Work as a member of a classroom team to maintain a safe and positive learning environment for preschool children 2‑5 years of age. Employees must be able to be flexible, reliable, positive, communicate effectively as part of a team, and take direction from the teacher and/or facilitator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting, and maintaining a welcoming, compassionate climate that values every student
  • Develop positive communication with building and classroom staff, students, and their families. Model and promote respect and caring in relationships with children, parents, families, colleagues, and the school and district community.
  • Responsible for working as a team to build the social and emotional skills and well‑being of all students. Utilize positive, research‑based strategies to guide student’s social behavior in a way that maintains an effective learning environment during the school day and in aftercare.
  • Engage in the support of implementation of the current lesson plan or any verbal or written plans for classrooms and individual students to promote curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized and orderly learning environment.
