Substitute Teacher (K-8 TH Grade)

Minimum Qualifications
- Must have completed at least one of the following:
- 36 college credit hours
- Completed Missouri's 20-hour online substitute training program
- Skills and qualities that are a plus but not necessarily a requirement
- Successful experience in an elementary or middle school setting
- Fluency in French, Mandarin, or Spanish
- In this position you will report to the school building each day. This is not an "on-call" substitute teaching position. Assignments vary by building needs.
- Oversee various areas of classroom instruction following guides provided by the classroom teacher.
- Lead whole class, small group, and individual learning.
- Collaborate with the entire K-8 team to promote higher levels of learning for all students.
- Monitor student culture and safety.
The annual salary for this position is competitive and starts at $37,450 depending on years of experience. The salary increases depending on the number of years of experience you have. Our salaries are well-above market rate: SLLIS salaries are higher than 90% of public schools in Missouri. SLLIS also offers the following:
