Job DescriptionCafeteria Recess Monitor
3.5 hours daily
Anticipated
Start Date:
8/24/2026
Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students while in the cafeteria.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- High School/Trade School degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
- Ensures the safety and security of students.
- Supervises, monitors and directs the activities of students on the playground, in the cafeteria, or hallways and other common areas (outside unless extreme cold, hot, or rain/sleet/snow).
- Maintains safety and cleanliness of the cafeteria areas.
- Enforces school rules and policies.
- Documents disciplinary infractions and/or refers the situation to the proper administrator.
- Performs minor first aid and/or refers to the school nurse.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical duties.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Compensation for experience is considered, Classified Salary Schedule.
