Job Description

Assistant Facilitator
- Lindbergh Early Childhood Education

  • Part-time placed position, approximately 20 hours per week
  • Schedule Monday–Friday to follow the 26-27 school year calendar
  • Beginning hourly rate: $15.09/hour
  • Non-exempt
  • Benefits not included

Summary: Work as a member of a classroom team to maintain a safe and positive learning environment for preschool children 2-5 years of age. Employees must be flexible, reliable, positive, communicate effectively as part of a team, and take direction from the teacher and/or facilitator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain a welcoming, compassionate climate that values every student
  • Develop positive communication with building and classroom staff, students, and their families; model and promote respect and caring in relationships with children, parents, families, colleagues, and the school and district community
  • Work as a team to support the social and emotional skills and well-being of all students; utilize positive, research-based strategies to guide students' social behavior to maintain an effective learning environment during the school day and in aftercare
  • Engage in supporting implementation of the current lesson plan or any verbal or written plans for classrooms and individual students to promote curiosity and a love of learning
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized and orderly learning environment
