26.27 Before & Aftercare Activities Coordinator (Part Time - Up to 20 Hours)
At KIPP St. Louis you will work with students and school teams to identify and support students who need extra support. You come every day equipped to improve student outcomes, identify and support students in small groups, and create targeted plans for student success! You'll collaborate with classroom teachers, the student support team, and school administrators to identify and support students to find their pathway to the futures they choose.

Position OverviewAt KIPP St. Louis, we believe every part of a child's day should spark joy, curiosity, and growth—even after the final bell! Our Before & After Care Program keeps the learning (and fun!) going with a safe, enriching space where students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We're looking for an Activity Coordinator who brings energy, creativity, and heart to the table!
In this role, you'll dream up and lead engaging activities in a specialist area of Reading, Math, or Social-Emotional that match student interests and reflect KIPP values—think STEM adventures, arts and crafts, dance breaks, social-emotional moments, and academic boosts. You'll report to the Site Coordinator and play a key role in making every student feel like they belong. Through culturally responsive programming and inclusive practices, you'll help eliminate barriers and make after-school time another great part of the day.

Part-time role (Up to 20 hours)
Specialist Planning:
- Serve as a Reading, Math, or Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Specialist, designing and facilitating engaging, high-quality small-group experiences that strengthen students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with the Site Coordinator to develop weekly activity plans aligned to student interests, developmental needs, and learning goals within the assigned specialist area.
- Prepare instructional materials and activity spaces in advance to ensure experiences are organized, engaging, and executed with excellence.
- Adapt instruction and activities in real time based on student engagement, interests, and individual needs to maximize participation and learning outcomes.
Student Engagement:
- Lead engaging, high-energy small-group experiences that foster joy, curiosity, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging for every student.
- Facilitate interactive, hands-on activities including: movement, arts and crafts, games, STEM challenges, and collaborative learning experiences, that inspire exploration, teamwork, and fun.
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with students by creating a positive, inclusive environment and proactively reinforcing expectations through consistent, caring, and relationship-centered interactions.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee daily program operations to ensure a safe, organized, and high-quality experience, including attendance management, student transitions, and facility readiness.
