School of Social Work Criminology and Criminal Justice ProgramSaint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a 9-month, Non-tenure Track faculty position at the assistant professor rank to begin Fall 2027. This position will join the Criminology and Criminal Justice Program, which is part of the School of Social Work.
Applicants for this position must possess at least a MA, but preferably a PhD, in Criminology & Criminal Justice, or a closely related field. A law degree/J.D. alone is not sufficient for this position. Our faculty are dedicated teachers, and we are looking for a colleague with a passion for teaching who can contribute to our graduate and/or undergraduate teaching needs.
The successful candidate will teach core classes consistent with the needs of the program and will be expected to develop classes in their area of expertise/preference. The ability to develop classes in cybersecurity, international criminology or victimology is desirable but not required as is prior university teaching experience and/or work experience related to the criminal justice system.
