Position Overview

Claim Academy is seeking an experienced Word Press Web Development & Business Instructor to teach students how to create professional websites using Word Press, prepare them for Word Press certification, and provide guidance on starting and growing a successful freelance web development business. The ideal candidate will not only teach web development skills but also mentor students on how to set up, market, and manage their own web development businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach in-person classes at Claim Academy covering all aspects of Word Press website development
    —from basic setup to advanced customization.
  • Prepare students for Word Press certification
    , offering hands‑on instruction on building and managing professional websites.
  • Guide students through the business startup process
    , including selecting a business structure, registering the business, and setting up essential tools and workflows.
  • Provide instruction on how to find and secure clients
    , including how to network, market services, and use freelance platforms to attract customers.
  • Teach students how to promote their business online using digital marketing strategies such as SEO, social media, email marketing, and content creation.
  • Offer pricing strategies for web development services, covering how to structure project‑based, retainer, and hourly pricing.
  • Support students in creating business plans
    , building portfolios, and developing a strong professional brand as a freelance or small business web developer.
  • Offer ongoing mentorship and guidance to help students overcome challenges as they build their businesses.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative learning environment that promotes student participation and engagement.
